Because the Rookie is a combination of a waist and a seat harness, it is suitable for both beginners and advanced surfers. It comes with a legstraps that children can wear when they just start kitesurfing so that the harness does not creep up when you are kitesurfing. Once you get better it’s just a matter of undoing 2 clips and you have a full-fledged waist hanress. 

The harness can also be used for windsurfing. All in all a perfect multi use harness.
