The K-87 from Point 7 has been developed for windsurfers who do not want to compromise on performance, but want to go for a slightly more sustainable choice.

The high carbon content and quality of this mast provide durability and a good reflex that will ease the feel of any sail. The best compromise between performance and durability. The ” I ” stands for inverted ferrule, this means that the end that is normally in the bottom part of the mast to connect the mast is now at the top. This puts a lot less load on the top of the mast and therefore makes it more durable. The performance against the K100 is very minimal and can only be measured with a clock, it will not be felt. The use of the same high-quality construction ensures that this mast delivers superior performance compared to others in its class.

When purchasing the right mast you have to look at the specifications of the sail. Do you sail the brand with an SMD / RDM diameter? And which curve does the sail use.
Most users will use the standard (SDM) mast. If you are wave or freestyle, grab an RDM mast. The masts are also available in different carbon percentages. The higher the carbon percentage, the lighter your sail set will feel and the better the performance.
