The Alien is designed specifically for windfoiling. This is why the construction is extra strong to withstand touchdowns. The board has the ideal width to steer the foil well. The length, which is shorter than your usual freeride board, was chosen to make it easier to steer the foil. At the same time, the board is also long enough to be easily released from the water.
